And baby makes three! Congratulations are in order for 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days couple Paul Staehle and Karine Staehle. Karine gave birth to their first child — a baby boy named Pierre — on Friday, March 22, In Touch can confirm. Scroll through the gallery to see Paul and Karine’s baby announcement and learn more about baby Pierre’s birth.
Pierre Martins Staehle weighed 6.9 pounds and measured in at 19.7 inches.
“I’m very happy, very excited,” Paul told Us Weekly. “I’m also very nervous and want to do everything the best that I can and do everything right. Everyone keeps asking how it feels to be a dad. Anyone can make a baby, but going through the day-to-day process of being a father is going to be a new experience. I’m very happy, very honored and very privileged and I want to make sure I do my absolute best for Pierre.”
“I am fine, and happy, even with the hard time I have had. And I am recovering well, but I am still very weak,” Karine added. “It was super hard, but now everything is fine because the baby is calm and he is breastfeeding well.”
Shortly after their wedding in November 2017, the couple found out that they were pregnant.

Of course, they were overjoyed — but unfortunately, that joy quickly turned into heartbreak when they learned that the baby had stopped developing in the womb.

The couple previously revealed to Cosmo that that wasn’t the only miscarriage they suffered on their way to welcoming baby no. 1 — Karine suffered two miscarriages in less than a year.

“The miscarriages were something neither of us will ever forget,” Paul said. “It brought us even closer together as we put aside arguments and disagreements to comfort one another. It is a tragic life moment no one should have to endure.”

But thankfully, the couple’s third pregnancy resulted in their rainbow baby — a term commonly used to refer to a baby who was born after a miscarriage.

“I feel super happy, but at the same time I’m sad and scared that it won’t work out again,” Karine admitted during the tell-all.

But as her pregnancy progressed, baby Pierre grew strong and Karine shared regular baby bump updates on social media.
The couple got a lot of hate for asking fans for money for their baby needs, but Paul clarified their intentions in a GoFundMe update.

“After a large number of people asked us to create this campaign, we decided at the last minute to allow those who would like to send a digital gift to be able to,” Paul explained. “This is just a way for anyone who would like to send a digital gift to us towards Pierre. If we get zero from this campaign we will survive and be fine.”

Now, it seems like the couple’s next step will be to travel to the United States together as a family from Karine’s home country of Brazil, where they are currently living.

They originally planned to come to America before Pierre’s birth, but they eventually weren’t able to make it work in time before Karine’s due date.

It’s unclear if Paul and Karine are still planning to come to the United States or when they’ll be able to travel with their newborn.
