’90 Day Fiancé’ Stars Colt And Larissa Break Their Social Media Silence Amid Divorce Filing
They’re breaking their silence. Shortly after In Touch confirmed that 90 Day Fiancé star Colt Johnson filed for divorce from Larissa Dos Santos Lima, the estranged couple each took to Instagram to share their own statements, telling their side of the story. Colt, 33, returned to Instagram after deleting his account in the midst of the couple’s nasty fight that led to Larissa’ third arrest on domestic violence charges earlier this week. He shared a photo of what looked like his wife’s belongings all packed up in boxes and he shared his feelings on their situation.
“I don’t understand my soon to be ex-wife. She comes to America with literally nothing. The suitcases she used for travel I provided for her. On her arrival, I already had clothes waiting for her to wear and everything she needed to start a basic life in America. Over the course of months, I continued to provide for her, gave her shelter, food, and supported her wants and dreams,” Colt wrote in the caption. “My sole mission since her arrival was to see that she was happy, taken care for and nurtured. Every time she was in trouble, I was there.”
Colt made it seem like he gave Larissa everything she wanted during their marriage. But Larissa took to her Instagram to respond to Colt’s message and clarified that while Colt did provide some things for her, their finances were never evenly distributed which is why she could not bail herself out after her most recent arrest.
“I have no income at this moment, [since] I can’t legally work yet and I can’t start my business,” she wrote, explaining why she needed to use money from a GoFundMe to help pay for her bail and legal fees. “I also never had access or any control of the money we made on the show and with the Cameos. They did buy to me [sic] some girl stuff so I could use on the show.” It sounds like they both have different views about what led to their pending divorce.
