Red, White and Blue! Find Out How Your Fave ’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Are Celebrating the 4th of July

Party in the U.S.A! Like most of the families across the United States, the cast of TLC’s hit reality TV franchise 90 Day Fiancé are looking forward to celebrating the 4th of July. Whether it’s a cookout with their friends and loved ones or watching a big fireworks display, your favorite 90 Day Fiancé cast members like Veronica Rodriguez, David Toborowsky and Annie Suwan Toborowsky, Kim Menzies  and more exclusively tell In Touch how they are ringing in Independence Day, a.k.a. America’s birthday!

American Independence Day falls on July 4, and the holiday has been come to known as the 4th of July or July 4th. In 1775, the Revolutionary War began as the North American 13 colonies opposed to Britain’s control. On July 2, 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence. The 13 colonies then adopted the Declaration of Independence, drafted by Thomas Jefferson, on July 4, 1776.

Since 1776, the 4th of July has been celebrated as Independence Day in North America. Traditional celebrations include fireworks, parades, concerts and barbecues.

For about half of the 90 Day Fiancé cast, celebrating the 4th of July is a new concept.  The premise of 90 Day Fiancé, which is the flagship show of the franchise, follows couples made up of one American and one foreigner who are in long-distance relationships. All of the couples have either completed or is close to completing the K-1 visa process — which allows the fiancé or fiancée of an American citizen to legally enter the United States. Once the foreigner arrives in the America, the couple must get married within 90 days. After the wedding takes place, the foreigner is then eligible for a green card to be able to remain in the United States. If the couple does not wed within the 90-day time frame, the foreigner must return to their country of origin.

The show was so popular that TLC has launched other spinoffs which include 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? (for couples who are already married to continue to share their journeys), 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (which follows long-distance couples as they meet for the first time in person), 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way (which features Americans who chose to move abroad to be with their partners), 90 Day: The Single Life (for former 90 Day Fiancé stars who are split or divorced to try to find love again ) and the newest addition to the franchise, 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise — where all couples have the common theme of Americans who fell in love with partners from the Caribbean.
