’90 Day Fiance’ Stars Brittany and Yazan Get Into Fight Moments After She Arrives in Jordan
Already trouble in paradise? 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple Brittany and Yazan got into a heated fight just moments after she arrived in his native country of Jordan, which is where the Florida native planned to start her new life with her fiancé.
“I am very excited that Brittany is coming here. And I really can’t wait to be with her, have her in my arms. But she will have to accept our living condition and adapt to us and change in a way she’d be able to live with me here in this country,” Yazan, 24, said while holding a bouquet of roses for Brittany in confessional just outside of the airport.
Once Brittany arrived, she walked up to Yazan and they hugged. He gave her the roses, and the couple walked arm-in-arm to his car. Right before they entered the airport parking lot, the 90 Day Fiancé film crew stopped the couple so they could put a mic on Brittany, 28, so they could continue filming the couple during the drive to her hotel. When she saw the crew members, the aspiring rapper greeted them with a hug, which is frowned upon in Yazan’s culture. During the greeting, Brittany also exposed a bottle of alcohol in her carry-on — which is another major no-no in Muslim countries.
“Hey, what’s this here? What’s this?” Yazan asked after he saw Brittany’s alcohol. “Nothing, don’t worry about it,” Brittany said. “That’s just not good but f–k you,” he said. “Why are you acting crazy?” she asked. “What’s this?” he yelled again before storming off to his car.
A producer chased after Yazan and asked him what was wrong. “I am so stupid,” Yazan explained. “I said before [she came here], you cannot drink here and you cannot talk for people [sic] and hug people.”
Meanwhile, Brittany remained on the sidewalk just outside of the airport parking lot. “That was a nice welcome,” Brittany said. “I’ve never seen him act like that and that was kinda scary to me.”
She continued to voice her concern about Yazan’s reaction. “I just did so much and already have given up so much to come be with him, so for him to be acting like this,” she said before trailing off. “I’m not proud of his behavior at all. I’m actually very disappointed by his behavior. It’s not like alcohol is not accepted here. Of course, I respect his culture and his choices but at the same time, I am not Muslim. Seeing this behavior makes me second guess moving here. It reminded me of the way my ex behaves and so if he’s going to behave like my ex, then I don’t want anything to do with him.”
But Yazan also had his own concerns about Brittany. “This is exactly what my parents warned me about. Brittany either doesn’t understand or doesn’t care about the traditions or the country I live in,” he said in his confessional. “I risked a lot of things in my life to make this relationship successful.” Fans will have to wait to find out if this couple can overcome their cultural differences.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way airs on TLC Mondays at 9 p.m. ET.
