Getting on Farrah Abraham‘s good side is no easy feat, but for Dr. David Merz, it’s nearly impossible! Fans have watched the Teen Mom OG star and her mom’s new hubby — whom she wed in November — duke it out on the show, but now many are wondering where all the animosity stems from.

If you recall, the duo had a rocky first encounter after he offended the feisty 26-year-old during their first meeting. He made comments about Farrah’s negativity towards her mother, to which she responded by saying, “I’m not in control of negativity.” After offering up advice to the mother-of-one, Farrah got up from the table in tears. Yet there may be another reason for the tension.

According to Farrah’s on-again, off-again, back on-again, back off-again boyfriend, Simon Saran, David — who met Debra online — allegedly hit on Farrah before settling for her divorced mother.

Back in May, a fan asked about their feud on Twitter writing, “Is it true Doctor David tweeted @F1abraham first, but settled for Deb when she didn’t respond? Is that why deb is so bitter?” to which Simon responded, “I’m afraid so!” Although it’s not confirmed, that certainly would explain their strained relationship.

Unfortunately, David isn’t the only one the sex-positive ambassador is feuding with. During tonight’s new episode, Farrah took to Twitter to share her unwarranted opinions about fellow co-star, Amber Portwood. “AMBER just f–king admit you planned your pregnancy lmao this is so pathetic F–K TEEN MOM!” she wrote. “Enjoy the bonus for your new kid and pay your owed child support! Over this off to Italy.”

As if that weren’t enough, she continued, “Claps to @ItsGaryTime ? @mtv listen I was depressed I was was a single parent you said it straight Gary! Worst mom award Amber.” Yikes, can’t we all just get along?!
