Demi Lovato Is ‘Really Happy’ With Boyfriend Austin Wilson: ‘Things Recently Turned Romantic’
Love is in the air! Demi Lovato shared she is off the market after going Instagram official with her model boyfriend, Austin Wilson, late on Tuesday, November 12. “Demi is really happy right now and is feeling good,” an insider told In Touch exclusively. We have a feeling this one is a keeper!
According to the insider, the two met through mutual pals. “Demi’s new boyfriend Austin is best friends with her hairstylist Dom Serna, who works for Chris McMillan,” the source explained. “Demi and Austin have been running in the same circle for a while and have been friendly and things recently turned romantic.”
“They were both very close friends with Tommy Trussell, who overdosed last month,” the source added. Demi, 27, mourned the sad news on Instagram and admitted Tommy fell victim to substance abuse back in October. As someone who has also struggled with their sobriety, the news was hard on Demi. “Devastated. Please hold your loved ones tight. Tell them they are special and that you love them. Make sure they know it. RIP to my boo @sirtruss,” Demi wrote on her Instagram Story at the time.
“Addiction is NO joke … ,” she added. “Heaven gained this beautiful angel last night because of that terrible disease. I’m crushed and will always miss you @sirtruss. If you or someone you know is struggling please know it’s okay to ask for help.”
Austin, 25, was also rocked by the loss of their mutual friend and even got a “T” tattooed on his arm to pay homage to his pal. “RIP bro I love you so much. I’m so grateful for the times that we had while you were here,” he wrote on Instagram following the tragic news. “You are such a special soul. You had the biggest heart and made everyone feel like a million dollars. I know you’re looking down on us now.”
Although Demi and Austin are both in mourning, they have each other to lean on during this time. We are happy to hear the songstress is in a good place after a tumultuous few months.
