Snip that grapevine. Khloé Kardashian finally responded to rumors that she was banned from attending the Met Gala.

Absolutely NOT True,” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, 37, wrote via Twitter on Tuesday, September 28. Her tweet was a reply to a fan’s question, asking her to “please clarify” the rumor she was blacklisted from taking part in fashion’s biggest annual event.

The Met Ball, which benefits The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, boasts an elite guest list of the biggest stars and influencers and is curated by none other than Vogue’s Anna Wintour. While Khloé family members, including sisters Kim KardashianKendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner, as well as their mother, Kris Jenner, have all attended the gala in the past, Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian have never graced the iconic red carpet.

The Met Gala, which typically occurs every year on the first Monday in May, was canceled in 2020 and returned on September 13, 2021, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Kylie, 24, skipped this year’s event amid her pregnancy with baby No. 2 with Travis Scott, but Kris, 65, Kendall, 25, and Kim, 40, attended. The Skims founder, in particular, turned heads with her all-black ensemble, including a face covering, designed by Demna Gvasalia.

Despite being in New York City on the same night as this year’s event, Kourtney dined out with boyfriend Travis Barker at Polo Bar before he performed with Machine Gun Kelly in Central Park.

Even though she didn’t make the list, Khloé has always been supportive of her family attending. In 2019, Kim stunned fans in a dress designed by Thierry Mugler, which showed off her impossibly thin waist obtained by an incredibly painful corset, with dripped crystals over her entire body. Meanwhile, Kendall and Kylie captured the “Camp” theme by opting to wear flamboyant colors, with Kendall in an orange feathered dress by Versace and Kylie in a bespoke lilac Versace gown with matching furry arm covers.

“I seriously can not get over how incredible my sisters look tonight!!!!” Khloe tweeted at the time of the event. “I’m dreaming of them.”
