TMOG’s Mackenzie McKee and Estranged Husband Josh Reconcile After He Proposes (Again) on Her Birthday

Love Is in the Air

Mackenzie, 25, and Josh, 26, shared some exciting news with the world on Thursday, October 24, by revealing they have worked through their differences, but that’s not all.

Josh even asked for her hand in marriage (again)!

Back on Track

“We found our way back to each other even when we thought it was impossible,” Mackenzie said about their reunion to PEOPLE, following her divorce filing. “I fell in love with a new man.”

Blast From the Past

It’s been a long road for the couple and there’s certainly been some bumps along the way. Mackenzie and Josh first started dating in 2009 and later exchanged their vows in 2013.

Road to Parenthood

While they were together, Mackenzie and Josh welcomed three children: son Gannon, 8, in 2011, a daughter named Jaxie on February 7, 2014, and their third child, a son named Broncs, on August 15, 2016.

Trials and Tribulations

However, in August 2019, Mackenzie confirmed they decided to call it quits.

“Due to stress, me needing to stay focused, the media, etc. I am deciding my marriage needs a break,” she tweeted at the time.

Making It Work

The reality star later mentioned that if they were to get back together, she would want a new proposal and to establish a solid connection again. Mackenzie even owned up to her own wrong-doings in the past.

Overcoming Hardships

On an episode of TMOG, Mackenzie gave more details about what happened behind closed doors. The reality star admitted, “raising three kids isn’t easy and Josh and I have really struggled.”

Family Reunion

Now, Mackenzie and Josh are coming back together after dealing with their past issues and she couldn’t be more elated to see what the future holds.

Past Grievances

“Our marriage has always needed fixing. It’s always needed help,” she told the publication, while revealing infidelity on both sides really ended up taking a toll on their relationship.

Noticing a Difference

“I had been angry with him for a long time and had never really forgiven him for the past,” Mackenzie confessed. She said it became apparent they needed to breakup when they just started coexisting instead of being affectionate.

Trying New Things

The blonde beauty said that Josh really wanted to make things work this time, and he even suggested they attend a marriage counseling retreat. Mackenzie revealed how impressed she was by his efforts to change.

Having an Epiphany

“One day we were walking back to our hotel room after a lesson and he just stopped me and said, ‘I’m ready to give my life to Christ. I really want to be saved,'” Mackenzie shared. “That is something that I’ve been patiently praying for nine years.”

Going All Out

When her birthday came around, Josh decided to pull out the stops, so he planned to surprise her with a scavenger hunt, a visit to her favorite restaurant, a stylish new ensemble, a massage and something extra special.

Moving Forward

He even gave her a note, telling Mackenzie to toss her previous wedding ring into a lake.

Big Surprise

At the end of the scavenger hunt, Josh was waiting there with a new ring.

“I see this cowboy that I married dressed up in this suit with a rose in his mouth,” Mackenzie revealed. “And he was walking towards me and the music starts playing and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh. I cannot believe this is happening.'” Of course, she said yes!

Still Smitten

Looking ahead, a date is already set for their vow renewal and Josh even selected the venue. “I know he loves me more now than he ever has,” Mackenzie gushed.
