21 Things Jeremiah and Jedidiah Duggar Are Still Not Allowed to Do at Age 21

Don’t go buying a drink for these two boys. Jedidiah and Jeremiah Duggar, the second set of twins in the Duggar family, turned 21 on December 30. But there’s a whole lot of stuff these two can’t do at age 21 that most people their age probably look forward to.

First, let’s take a look at where these guys are at in their lives these days. Jed once interned with Representative Charlene Fite at the Arkansas House of Representatives in Little Rock, Arkansas, and now seems headed for a career in politics. Jer, on the other hand, might be the next Duggar boy in line to court.

In a series of photos posted by Duggar family friend Elijah Kaneshiro in November 2018, Jer was seen sitting at a table in a restaurant with a few friends — and a few of them were female friends. That instantly set off rumors that one of the twins was going to go a-courtin’. But so far, nothing has come of that speculation.

As for Jed’s career aspirations, Counting On fans may know that he is running for Arkansas State Representative District 89 in Springdale, Arkansas. He regularly updates his social media account with stories from his life or the campaign trail, even though almost all the rest of his siblings waited to get social media of their own until after they were married.

In fact, that’s one of the things Duggars generally couldn’t do at age 21 — live alone, unless they were married. But on December 7, Jed shared photos featuring a few nephews and one of his nieces on Instagram and wrote, “Having fun with the nieces and nephews!! Since a lot of us don’t live at the ‘big’ house anymore, it’s always a blast when we can get together there!! #holidayevenings #saturdaynight.”

It’s always possible Jed wasn’t including himself when he referred to “us” in that Instagram caption, but when a spokesperson told local NBC-affiliated television station KNWA-TV that “HSI was present there [at the Duggar home] pursuant to an on-going federal criminal investigation,” (later updated to be a Duggar business instead) back in November, Jed was asked about the alleged investigation and he said, “I don’t live there and I am not aware of any investigation.”

So hey, that’s something Jed is allowed to do that, as far as we know, even his 21-year-old twin isn’t. Let’s take a look at several other things the twins can’t do even though they’re of legal drinking age now in the gallery below.
