Tyler Baltierra Tries to Justify His Use of the N-Word and We’re Just Like, No Dude
No, sir. Teen Mom OG star Tyler Baltierra dropped the N-word in a Snapchat video over the weekend — and it wasn’t long before fans called him out for using the racial slur. After dropping his wife, Catelynn Lowell, off at a treatment center for her mental health issues stemming from suicidal thoughts, the 25-year-old dad blew off some steam at a rock concert.
Afterward, the MTV personality commented on the size of the crowd while leaving the show. “All I know is that I’m f–ked up as f–k right now!” a clearly inebriated Tyler said to the camera, before spewing his misguided use of vocabulary. To see the controversial moment, watch the clip below. (Warning: video includes offensive language.)
Popular Twitter account and reality TV YouTube channel @TheGraceReport was one of the many social media users who criticized Tyler for saying the N-word. “Wonder if/when @TylerBaltierra will bring that trifling a– over here to explain,” the website tweeted, to which Tyler offered a rather lackluster apology.
“This ‘trifling a–’ does have some explaining to do,” the Michigan native — who shares daughter Novalee, 2, with Catelynn, 25 — wrote. “I am a complete inconsiderate prick who made a mistake while attempting to take a mental break after dealing with everything. I deserve any hate you all give me, so lay it on me.”
Well, @TheGraceReport was seemingly unimpressed with Tyler’s response — and shamed him for playing the victim: “Mental exhaustion doesn’t put racial slurs in one’s vocabulary, last I checked.”
