Larry, Ryan’s mom, Jen, and Mackenzie haven’t seen Ryan since January 2019. “No, I haven’t visited him,” he said. “At jail, it’s not like on TV. You go into a room. It’s a video. He sits in one room, and the family is in another.”

Maci Bookout — Ryan’s ex — has always expressed her concerns about Ryan. “To be honest with you, I feel better that he is in jail because I know he’s safe there,” she said on the podcast “Coffee Convos With Kailyn Lowry and Lindsie Chrisley” in August 2018. “I know he’s not driving around or doing something that could potentially hurt him or an innocent person. It sucks, it’s a crappy situation for everyone.”

In the Loop
Maci, 27, admitted that she has never tried to hide from Bentley what is going on with his dad. “No one ever wants to tell their child that someone terrible has happened to their parent,” she said. “He understands, he doesn’t ever ask questions. We fill him on whatever is going on and as sad as he is, the reason he doesn’t ever ask questions is that its kind of just always been this way.”
