Safety is everything. Chelsea Houska and Cole DeBoer were shocked to discover that their South Dakota home had been broken into while they were away on a family vacation in Colorado. The couple opened up about the chilling moment they figured out their beloved abode was robbed on a recent episode of Teen Mom 2, and more details about the unsettling incident have since been released. Teen Mom 2 Chelsea Houska Home Burglarized

Robbery Revealed

Chelsea, 27, revealed that their home was burglarized on the April 22 episode of Teen Mom 2. She said they called the police, but after almost a week, there was unfortunately no update.

Reaction to the Ordeal

“We realized our house was broken into while we were gone,” the mother-of-three said during her voiceover, revealing how she’s coping with the incident. “It’s been over a week now and I’m still shaken up.”

Figuring It Out

Cole, 31, explained that when they walked into their house, they set the suitcases down and Chelsea walked back to their room with baby Layne, then “she said ‘something’s not right in here.'”

Leaving Behind a Mess

“Our master bedroom closet was absolutely destroyed,” he added. “S–t everywhere. Bins dumped. I just instantly freaked.”

Searching the Place

Chelsea’s hubby instantly went into protector mode and checked the entire house to see if the robber was still hiding inside. Afterwards, Cole addressed how angry it made him.

Doting Daddy

“Seeing them terrified, I think I was the most pissed I’ve ever been!” Cole said. “Once I knew no one was in here, I called the police right away.”

Feeling Scared

Chelsea’s daughter Aubree said that she has been sleeping on the couch, since she doesn’t feel at peace in her room any longer. “I tried last night to go in my room, but I couldn’t fall asleep,” Aubree confessed.

The MTV couple moved to that property just last year, but after this ordeal, Chelsea said “I want to move” and Aubree agreed.

Cole noted how it’s “not that easy,” but he assured Chelsea that he’s on her team no matter what. “Whatever you need to do, and whatever it takes for you to feel better, you do it,” he continued.

Moving On

The brunette beauty explained that she’s worried about how this experience will impact her in the long run. “I feel like everyone’s going to be over it, and I’m not going to be over it, and everyone’s going to be like, ‘Get the hell over it!’ and I can’t,” Chelsea said.

Property Stolen

“We had laptops out and they didn’t take it,” she revealed. “The only things we noticed were bags, jewelry, a pearl bracelet. If someone broke in while I was there, I would have two babies. It wouldn’t be easy.”

Calling the Police

Fans are now just watching the drama play out, but the incident took place late last year. The Turner County Sheriff’s Office told Radar that authorities were dispatched to Chelsea and Cole’s house on December 30, 2018 at 10:56 p.m.

Coincidence or Not?

“Multiple handbags were taken,” a spokesperson for the Sheriff’s Office told Radar. On the show, Chelsea addressed how she was worried that her social media posts let the burglar know she wasn’t home at the time, but there was also another break-in nearby.

The Possibilities

“It’s hard to know whether it was related to the other break-in,” the Sheriff’s Office revealed. “It could or couldn’t be.”

Info on the Situation

As far as the burglar goes, “We’ve checked a few leads, waiting for more information or a hit on stolen items,” the spokesperson said. “Preferably we find someone. We don’t want to give out details until we can find a suspect or tie a person to it.”
