It sounds like some serious drama went down over the weekend while the Teen Mom 2 crew filmed the reunion. After several stars threatened to not show up and Jenelle Evans had a major meltdown, there was already plenty to talk about. But now Javi Marroquin is revealing that there was even more going on behind the scenes. This year, his girlfriend, Lauren Comeau, was supposed to join them on stage. Instead, she decided to stay at home — and now Javi is spilling the tea on what really happened. He chatted with Radar Online and gave them all the deets. Check out the gallery below to find out why Lauren didn’t show up to film the reunion.

Javi and Kail have been on good terms.

Back in November 2018, he was a guest on a Radar Online podcast, Teen Mom Time, and shared that co-parenting with Kailyn Lowry was going well. “I’ve been so busy. We rarely talk. When we do, it’s, ‘Don’t forget his soccer cleats.’ That’s really it. Things are fine,” he said.

Kail and Lauren? Not so much.

During the interview, Javi revealed the two women don’t even speak. “I hope they eventually say hi to each other,” he shared — but didn’t seem to think it was such a bad thing. “We know it will happen naturally and whenever it’s right. There are a lot of moving parts right now.”

They’re family now.

Now that Lauren and Javi have a kid of their own, Kail’s son, Lincoln, has a baby brother — which means they’re all going to be in each other’s lives for quite a while.

And Javi hoped it would bring them together.

“If she needs anything, Lauren can help out. It will come eventually,” he said. But things just seemed to get worse between the two moms over time. By January, Javi was slamming Kail for not giving Lauren a chance.

He called the whole thing “messed up.”

“We’re 26, 27 years old,” he told Radar Online. “She’s going to be in Lincoln’s life. That’s messed up because if you want to go back to Jo and Vee, it was important for her to have that relationship with Vee for Isaac.”

He wants to have the same relationship for his family.

“It’s kind of the same concept,” he said. “Lauren and I have a baby together. It magnifies the situation. … If they could come together and do it for Lincoln that would be great.” But Kail doesn’t seem willing to budge.

She has no “ill feelings.”

But Kail still didn’t want to cozy up to Lauren on camera. “You won’t see me officially meeting her for the first time on camera,” she tweeted in response to Javi’s interview. “I just don’t think that’s natural or genuine.”

And then there was the soccer drama.

After Lauren’s phone number ended up in a group chat for parents of Lincoln’s soccer team — and Kail’s didn’t — s–t hit the fan. “The petty in me was like, I wanna text [Javi] and be like, ‘You’re a d–k,'” the mom-of-three said in a Teen Mom episode.

She blamed her ex.

“‘You literally just told me not to miss games and that’s why you put Lauren’s contact down,'” she continued. On Twitter, she clarified, “I wasn’t upset she was added. … However, she should have been IN ADDITION to Javi & myself. Thank you, next.”

Now, their back-and-forth is affecting filming.

“Her and Lauren are the same,” he told Radar on April 8. According to the website, the father-of-two claims that his ex-wife and current girlfriend are still on bad terms and that things don’t seem to be getting any better.

But he also claims Lauren was just busy.

“Lauren didn’t go to the reunion as she had things to do at home,” he said. After welcoming their son in November 18, it makes total sense that the new mom would still have her hands full less than six months later.

He didn’t film much either.

It sounds like it’s a good thing Lauren hung back, too, because Javi claims that he barely got any screen time himself, calling the time he spent on stage “short.” He joked, “I spent more time in my dressing room than onstage.”

Kail’s other exes were there, too.

“Vee went on after me, but I don’t know what happened during their part,” he told Radar. “I did my segment first, then left. … I left right after.” According to him, things went smoothly. “Me and Kail are good,” he claimed. “There’s not really any beef with this reunion.”

Kail and Vee got along, too.

They even snapped a selfie together on stage, which Kail shared on Twitter. When one of her followers said that Vee was looking hot, the mom-of-three responded, “I concur.” It’s clear they’ve come along way from where they used to be.

Does that mean there’s hope for Lauren?

Right now, it doesn’t seem like anything can bring Lauren and Kail together. But if you’d told us back in 2014 that Kail and Vee would get along this well one day, we probably would never have believed it.

We’re crossing our fingers for the fam.

After all, now that Kail and Lauren have sons who are brothers, they definitely are family. We’re just hoping that one day they can all work things out — for the sake of Lincoln and baby Eli.
