‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown Shares Rare Selfie and Defends Hair From Haters
He loves his mane! Someone tweeted several photos of Kody Brown’s hair with the caption, “The evolution of Kody Brown’s rat trap … has it gone from bad to worse or worse to good. I just don’t know anymore!” and the Sister Wives star hopped on Twitter to defend himself. “Happy?” he wrote alongside a selfie featuring his long hair. It was the first time the reality star tweeted something that wasn’t a retweet in months, and it was a rare selfie to boot!
Kody’s hair has long been a topic of interest to both his wives and Sister Wives fans alike. In fact, TLC released an “Ode to Kody’s Hair” back in 2011 because it’s so iconic. He often gets criticized for trying to keep it long even though it appears to be thinning out a bit as he gets older, and clearly, the 50-year-old wanted to set the record straight and show everyone his hair is doing just fine these days, thank you very much.
Fans took to the Twitter replies to let Kody know how they felt about his hair and the selfie. “Looks good! Way better than the man bun,” one person wrote. Another added, “Yeah, this is the best look yet 👍🏻.” Someone else wrote, “You look very dashing. This is a very good look for you. I hope the ladies like it.” A lot of people also approved of the beard the reality TV dad sported in the photo. “Awesome beard!” a fan tweeted in response. A different person replied, “Beard really makes it look good, brings it all together with hair 👍.”
But not everyone was in favor of the look. “That hair makes you look very old,” one person said. Another wrote, “Sorry, leave the long hair to the ladies!” Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter whether fans like Kody’s hair or not, does it? It matters mostly whether or not he likes it, and possibly whether his four wives approve of the look. And they certainly seem to — Janelle Brown said in the video above that they’ve told him not to cut it in the past, and Robyn Brown even joked about his mop of hair, “There’s actually a fifth wife in our family.” LOL! You do you, Kody!
