Mackenzie Standifer sure knows how to pick ’em! The Teen Mom OG star tied the knot to Ryan Edwards last year, but a new clip from tonight’s Unseen Moments revealed the 30-year-old wasn’t exactly prepared to walk down the aisle. “I’m just gonna wing it when it comes to the vows,” Ryan told his parents, Jen and Larry. “It’s just a bunch of promises. I’ll figure it out.” Uh — sure!

During their second wedding ceremony in November, Ry told Mack, “I promise to always love you, be your best friend, I promise to be faithful and always be there for you.” Honestly, we’re surprised he came up with something halfway decent.

Ryan’s ex and baby mama, Maci Bookout, threw in her two cents and told the audience, “I feel like if he prepared it, it would be weird.”

Fortunately for the soon-to-be father-of-two, he’s not the only one who waited until the last minute. Even fellow TM dad, Gary Shirley, confessed to coming up with his vows on the day of — but it wasn’t without an uncomfortable slip up! “What would I say to Amber?” he asked host Nessa. “Er, Kristina?” Awk!

During Ryan and Mackenzie’s first wedding — which was featured on the previous season of Teen Mom OG — Mackenzie said her vows while Ryan was high on drugs, and MTV even documented him driving while under the influence to their ceremony. The only people in attendance were Ryan’s parents, and it wasn’t a very happy affair, since Jen cried the entire time — and they weren’t exactly tears of joy.

Recently, a new report revealed just how serious ryan’s heroin addiction had become. Court docs from Red Bank City Court in Tennessee showed he tested positive for opiates and morphine in a urine sample collected on Jan. 17, 2018. A source told Radar Online, “He failed the scheduled drug test. That is why they charged him with petition to revoke.”

Previously, the reality star had been pulled over for an expired tag on March 12, 2017, when the officer noticed a hypodermic needle in an open backpack on the passenger seat. During the search, the officer found a total of 14 needles, one of which was loaded with heroin. “I asked Edwards what it was and he replied, ‘It’s heroin, and I have a problem,'” the police report stated. Here’s to hoping Ryan gets his act together for the sake of his second child — as well as son Bentley.

Teen Mom 2 premieres Monday, May 7 at 9 p.m. EST on MTV.
