7 Feuding Reality Stars Who Squashed Their Beef and Are Friends Now (Yes, Really)
There are a lot of things we love about reality TV, from the non-stop drama to the cartoonish villains, but let’s be honest — we love it mostly for the fights. Average people don’t normally flip tables, yank wigs off, or attempt to attack someone with a glass, but in Reality TV Land all bets are off, and literally anything goes. But what happens after the brawls? After everyone has healed and moved on, do they still harbor those old feelings?
Personally, if someone spat on us on television, we’d never forgive them, but these Z-list celebs have decided to let bygones be bygones and have not only forgiven the person they fought with, they even became friends! We know, we’re shocked, too. Below, seven iconic reality TV fights that ended in real, genuine friendships.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa vs. Danielle
During the first season of the show, Teresa Giudice got into a heated table fight with Danielle Staub. It got so heated, Teresa iconically flipped a table over — all while screaming, “PROSTITUTION WHORE!” During the reunion, Teresa also tried to attack her again, even shoving host Andy Cohen out of the way to get to her. There’s no way these two are friends, right?
The Make Up
When Danielle announced she was returning to the show, she shocked fans again when she said she and Teresa were now pals. “I just DMed her and right away she called me back,” Teresa said. “We were texting back and forth, and I said, ‘Do you do yoga?’ She’s like, ‘I love yoga.’ I said, ‘So, I’ll come to one of the yoga places that you go to.’ And that’s how [the friendship] all started.”
As for what Danielle had to say on the matter: “We’re really good. I just don’t think there’s going to be any problems between she and I,” Danielle said. “I don’t think that anyone would want to do that to us again.”
Jersey Shore: Sammi vs. JWoww
The two pals got tangled into a fist fight when Samantha “Sammi” Giancola received that famous, all-caps anonymous letter informing her that her boo Ronnie Magro was messing around behind her back. Once it was revealed that Jenni “JWoww” Farley was the one to write the letter, the two decided to settle things Shore style.
The Make Up
Jenni later admitted she regretted getting into a fight with Sammi and the two settled things during the show’s third season. They even recently attended an event together. “I actually regret the fights that I did get in with Sam because I was in the same position she was a few years ago,” Jenni said on Sirus radio’s The Morning Mash Up! in 2011. “I had a boyfriend lie and cheat, and I did not believe my girlfriends when they told me.”
The Challenge: CT vs. Adam
The feud between these two spanned three reality TV shows. It started on Real World: Paris, continued on The Challenge: Gauntlet III, and climaxed on The Challenge: The Duel II. CT, being the big meathead that he was, typically won all these fights as underdog Adam continued to get under his skin. I mean once someone yells that they’re going to “smash your head and eat it,” there’s no way friendship can bloom from there, right?
The Make Up
Yep, during an episode of The Challenge: Rivals, while working as teammates, CT attempted to bury the hatchet by adorably poking fun at Adam’s rowing skills. “We buddies yet?” CT asked. “You still mad at me?” Adam hesitated to answer the question but eventually agreed that they were friends by default. Hey, it’s better than nothing.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Joe Giudice vs. Joe Gorga
Although The Real Housewives of New Jersey is all about “family,” they still get into the same dramatic blow-ups as the other franchises. When Joe Giudice overheard his brother-in-law Joe Gorga calling his wife Teresa “scum,” he decided to force Other Joe to apologize. However, that didn’t exactly pan out well, as the two tackled each other, with one of them crying out, “He’s biting my nuts!” If you have three minutes to kill today, please watch the whole fight because it is epic. Sorry, if someone tried to bite our nuts, we could never be friends with you.
The Make Up
Of course they made up — well, sort of. They’re family, so it’s not like they can avoid each other anyway, and during a Watch What Happens Live appearance in 2015 they seemed cordial with lots of hugs and smiles, but there was still just a hair of tension in the air. However, in 2017, Joe Gorga revealed he visited Joe Giudice in prison — so it appears whatever bad blood was between them is all gone.
Mob Wives: Natalie vs. Karen
It was no surprise that a show called Mob Wives had a whole bunch of fighting — however, the most iconic one was a brawl between Natalie Guercio and Karen Gravano. After an argument turned heated, Karen realized she didn’t feel like using her words anymore and literally flipped a table and launched herself at Natalie. The fight was so intense, it took several security guards to pry them off of each other. Both of the women were scratched up and bleeding, and after the episode aired, they continued their feud on social media.
The Make Up
We didn’t think these two could ever be friends, but after the death of fellow Mob Wives star Big Ang, Natalie and Karen reunited at her funeral and realized that they should put the drama behind them. After all, that’s what Big Ang would’ve wanted. “Her and I put our differences aside,” Kared said in 2016. “We both laughed and cried. Ang’s favorite saying was ‘Get over it,’ and we got over it because we did it in her honor.” By the way, we couldn’t find a current pic of them together, so we tackily Photoshopped one. But you get the idea.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Shereé vs. Kim
It was the wig tug heard around the world during the first season of the show. Shereé Whitfield was heated at Kim Zolciak for reasons we’ve long forgotten about. As the the fight got physical, the ladies took it outside, and Shereé famously attempted to snatch Kim’s wig. Rude.
The Make Up
After Kim’s friendship with Nene Leakes collapsed, she and Shereé sort of magically became cool and even invited Kim to the grand opening of Chateau Shereé. “When you step back and you take time for yourself and you realize what’s important — Kim and I were really cool, or even NeNe [Leakes], so you know that stuff was old,” Shereé said in 2017. “You can’t harbor all the negative energy.”
Flavor of Love: New York vs. Pumkin
The spit heard across the world! This epic showdown between the two gals has gone down as one of the most iconic fights in reality TV history. After being eliminated, Brooke “Pumkin” Thompson angrily spat on Tiffany “New York” Pollard, who then shoved Pumpkin into a camera. New York continued the rivalry at the reunion show where she tried to (unsuccessfully) “beat Pumkin’s a–.”
The Make Up
However, at the 2004 Reality TV Awards, the rivals kissed and made up — literally. Pumkin’s aunt uploaded a pic of the two making out at the show, much to the shock of fans. However, Brooke later revealed in an interview that Tiffany was much nicer off camera.
“I saw her at the Reality TV Award show and she was much more like, grounded than you would think she was on TV,” she said in 2016. “I mean obviously that kiss came out between the two of us. She’s definitely a lot nicer in person than you see on TV and I can’t believe I’m saying that.” Yeah, us either.
