Rapper Lil Baby was reportedly arrested by police in Atlanta on February 7, for failure to signal, eluding police and reckless driving. Newly surfaced video appears to show the “Drip Too Hard” lyricist, whose real name is Dominique Jones, getting pinned down to the ground with his hands behind his back. According to City 2 Action News, Lil Baby has already left the Atlanta City Jail.

Shortly before his reported arrest, Lil Baby, 24, shared a video of himself riding in his car and listening to music. As several of his followers pointed out, the rapper’s outfit in his Instagram Story looks similar to the one worn by the detained man in the video.

Lil Baby later took to Instagram on the evening of February 7 with an update. “F–k the police who be on that bulls–t, shoutout to the ones who get you through the process ASAP,” he wrote.

Several fans took to Instagram to show their support to the artist in the comment section. “Free Lil Baby,” one wrote. “The fast way,” another added with a fire emoji. Just last week, Lil Baby performed at the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. The rapper has been reaching new heights in his career with his hugely popular singles, and furthermore, he’s even collaborated with major artists like Drake. Their song “Yes Indeed” was a top 10 hit in 2018.

In previous interviews, Lil Baby revealed that he didn’t take his music aspirations seriously until he was released from prison in 2016. The rapper reportedly has spent years behind bars on multiple charges, including possession of marijuana with intent to sell. However, once he got out, it was straight to business. Lil Baby managed to sign a deal with Quality Control and some of the projects he released include his debut album Harder Than Ever, Perfect Timing, and Drip Harder with Gunna. Despite his arrest, it looks like fans have Lil Baby’s back to the fullest.
