Patrick Dempsey Is Planning to Adopt (EXCLUSIVE)
Nearly two years after their marriage almost ended in divorce, Patrick Dempsey and wife Jillian are expanding their family, an insider tells In Touch.
“They’re ready to adopt a child. They’ve already met with a lawyer to make it happen,” the insider says of the couple, who are parents to Talula, 15, and twins Darby and Sullivan, 10.

“They want the child to be from the United States, and they wouldn’t mind if he or she was a toddler.”
The child will have special meaning to the Grey’s Anatomy alum, 51, and his wife, also 51. “Welcoming another child signifies Patrick’s commitment to the family,” says the insider. (Jillian filed for divorce in January 2015 after Patrick reportedly cheated. But one year later they had reconciled.)
“Their marriage is finally back on track,” adds the insider. “If all goes according to plan, they’ll have a new member of the family by the end of this year.”
