Who knew that Hailey Baldwin and Miley Cyrus have known each other since they were little? Well, apparently Hailey revealed that she has known the “Wrecking Ball” singer since she was 11 years old, but their friendship was not all rainbows and butterflies at first. In fact, it was quite the opposite.
During the Friday, Dec. 7, episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series, Kendall Jenner and Hailey turned on Miley’s song, “Party In The U.S.A.” and all of the sudden, Miles popped up in the back seat to join their dance party! The singer even dished about growing up with Hailey. “I would be evil to her. She would try to play with us, like me and Alaia [Hailey’s sister], and then we would lock her out of the room and be evil,” she revealed.
Hailey added, “My older sister and her used to gang up on me.” Aw, poor girl! However, it seems like the two have buried the hatchet since then. Miley jokingly responded, “I had to. It made you who you are, you know? It made you stronger. Now you can always take like the trolls and s—t. ‘Cause I was such a troll.”
The newlywed laughs about it now, too. “Miley was the biggest troll to me. She prepared me for this industry!”
Recently, the model took a brief social media hiatus because she had anxiety from all the negative comments that appeared on her posts. “It’s hard to focus on your well-being, and mental health when each time you open Instagram someone is tearing apart your job, or your relationship, or essentially any of the things in your life that are positive,” she confessed on her Instagram story. “And I won’t let people make me feel like I’m doing something wrong by enjoying my life, and being happy.” Preach, girl!
Hailey, we’re glad you’re back from your social media ~cleanse~ and we’re even happier that you and Miley are friends again!
