Letting Off Steam? Miley Cyrus Dances in a Bra With Mom Tish Amid Cody Simpson Drama
Workin’ it! Miley Cyrus posted a video to her Instagram Story featuring herself dancing with her mom, Tish Cyrus, not long after she released a moody holiday song mere hours after her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, was seen with another woman in New York City. Was the singer letting off some steam?
Miley, 27, shared the clip after her current beau Cody, 22, was seen on Saturday, December 21, walking with Playboy model Jordy Murray. That sighting led to some split speculation regarding Miley and her man, and the message of the Christmas song certainly didn’t help matters.
The performer released the song on Instagram and wrote to her followers, “A sad Christmas song I wrote a few years back right before the holidays. Was feeling like s–t cause I couldn’t be with the one I loved. Even with a house full of family and friends I still felt alone. In ways that still feels relevant and someone reading this right now could possibly relate!” It seems like she may be hinting that she’s feeling lonely this year, too.
Miley also reminded her followers, “YOU ARE COMPLETELY MADE OF MAGIC! You are as special as a snowflake, beautifully unique and I hope inside your soul feels light, hope, peace, and joy knowing how singularly amazing YOU are! Love always wins! 🎄.” That’s actually a really lovely message to impart, especially if Miley is feeling a little down herself and is still managing to try to lift her fans out of their bad moods.
Rumors that Miley and Cody were dating first ran rampant in early October when they were spotted kissing during an acai bowl date. They haven’t posted photos of each other on social media since her birthday, and it’s not entirely clear whether or not they’re still together.
But for the most part, Miley’s followers didn’t bring up Cody or any of her other past loves in the comments of the Christmas song post. Mostly, they thanked her for the new track. “I am so proud of you. We go through so much in this fun way that is called life❤️,” one person wrote. Another commented, “Thank you Miley, I really needed this.”
The real question is whether or not anyone dances to Miley’s holiday song, the way she got down with her mama in the video clip. It seems like Miley needs some happiness in her life, and we hope she got it for a moment with her family.
