Aw, young love! Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson, had an adorable night date night on Sunday, October 6, where the lovebirds watched Blue Hawaii while singing along to Elvis Presley’s “Ku-U-I-Po” song. The handsome hunk, 22, uploaded the sweet video clip to his Instagram Stories, and the 26-year-old pop star couldn’t stop smiling as she leaned on his shoulder.
This isn’t the first time the duo packed on the PDA, either. One day prior, the “La Da Dee” crooner planted a big kiss on Miley’s forehead. “Pre-swim breakfast courtesy of baby,” Cody captioned the sweet snap on social media before he shared a picture of his meal — two pieces of banana-covered toast with peanut butter and a smoothie. The blonde beauty seemingly confirmed that she was seeing Cody via her Instagram Stories on October 4. “22 ✅ Australian (my type) ✅ Abs ✅,” she wrote at the time.
This past summer, Miley called it quits with Liam Hemsworth after 10 years together, and while she moved on with Kaitlynn Carter relatively quickly, they went their separate ways in September. On October 3, the “Malibu” songstress was spotted with the Australia native on a date at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles. “They both were standing at first, then hugging, kissing and talking,” an eyewitness exclusively told In Touch. “They sat down next to me and my friend and started having a serious conversation about a guy. Then, eventually she got up and sat on his lap and started making out with him. They both stood up once Cody’s name was called, and she kissed him again, and they left holding hands.”
While some people thought Miley and Cody’s romance was new, an insider exclusively told In Touch that they have been friends for a while. “Right now, she needs someone she can trust and rely on, and Cody is that guy, he gets her,” they said. “He’s super sweet, tall and Australian — just like her ex Liam. So, there’s that!”
However, the Tennessee native got candid with her followers about her love life. “I know the public feels invested in my past relationship because they felt like they saw it through from the beginning,” she began. “I think that’s why people have always felt so entitled over my life and how I live it because they’ve watched me grow up, but I am grown now and make choices as an adult knowing the truth/details/reality. People only ‘know’ what they see on the internet.”
She continued, “Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as ‘legends,’ ‘heartthrobs,’ ‘G,’ ‘ladies man,’ etc. where women are called sluts/whores! I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘man’s’ world. If we can beat ‘em, join ‘em! If our president can ‘grab ‘em by the p—y’ … can’t I just have a kiss and açaí bowl?”
Do your thing, girl!
