Miley Cyrus’ New Man Cody Simpson Kisses Her in a Sweet PDA-Filled Photo on Instagram
On to the next! Just hours after Miley Cyrus seemingly confirmed she is dating Cody Simpson, the Australian singer took to Instagram to make their relationship Instagram official with a smooch. Cody, 22, planted a big kiss on the 26-year-old pop star’s temple in a sweet PDA selfie shared on his Instagram Story on Saturday, October 5.
“Pre swim breakfast courtesy of baby,” Cody captioned the kissing photo. Miley wrapped her arm around his shoulders and she scrunched up her face as her new beau loved up on her. In the following snap, Cody shared a picture of the breakfast Miley prepared for him: two slices of toast with peanut butter and banana slices along with a berry smoothie.
Miley seems to be moving on with the “La Da Dee” singer after her split from estranged husband Liam Hemsworth in August, and her split from girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter in September.
Cody and Miley’s romance seems to be heating up pretty quickly, considering they first sparked dating rumors on Thursday, October 3, when they were spotted kissing while out on a date at Backyard Bowls in Los Angeles. “They both were standing at first, then hugging, kissing, and talking. They sat down next to me and my friend and started having a serious conversation about a guy,” an eyewitness exclusively dished to In Touch. “Then eventually she got up and sat on his lap and started making out with him. They both stood up once Cody’s named was called and she kissed him again and they left holding hands.”
Even though news of their romance seems new, insiders exclusively told In Touch they have been friends for a while. “Right now she needs someone she can trust and rely on and Cody is that guy, he gets her,” an insider exclusively revealed. “He’s super sweet, tall and Australian — just like her ex Liam. So there’s that!”
On Friday, October 4, Miley took to social media to basically confirm their relationship by posted a sexy, shirtless photo of Cody. “22 ✅ Australian (my type) ✅ Abs ✅ Hot Girl Fall ✅,” she captioned the photo of her new man.

In a separate statement, she defended herself from fans who feel she moved on “too quickly” after splitting from both Liam and Kaitlynn. “Men (especially successful ones) are RARELY slut-shamed. They move on from one beautiful young woman to the next MOST times without consequence. They are usually referenced as ‘legends,’ ‘heartthrobs,’ ‘G,’ ‘ladies man,’ etc. where women are called sluts/whores! I am trying to just THRIVE/survive in a ‘man’s’ world,” she claimed. “If we can’t beat ’em, join ’em!”
