‘Sister Wives’ Star Meri Brown Claps Back at Fan Who Questions If She’s ‘Allowed to Show So Much Leg’
Mind your own business, people! Meri Brown shared a photo of herself to Instagram on June 23, and she’s wearing cute shorts in the shot. For whatever reason, that prompted someone in the comments to ask her a really odd question. “‘Happiness is not about getting all you want, it is about enjoying all you have’ 💙💙💙” Meri, 48, captioned the pic. The random troll then replied, “I didn’t think you were ‘allowed’ to show so much leg. Does this mean [you] finally got away?” The Sister Wives star responded, “I’m ‘allowed’ to do whatever I want 👍👍.” Go, Meri!
The “finally got away” comment likely refers to constant fan speculation that Meri will eventually leave Kody Brown and her sister wives — Janelle, Christine and Robyn Brown — behind. But just because Meri is showing some skin during the summer months, that doesn’t mean she’s about to hightail it out of the family. It probably just means she was hot, let’s be real.
Several fans came to Meri’s defense in other replies. “She’s NOT Amish 😂😂😂,” one person responded. Another wrote, “@lularoemeribrown I really don’t understand why [people] always wish you to run away, get away, however they put it. They don’t have to understand your journey, it’s not for them to understand but they could at least be supportive of you doing what makes you happy. Keep being you, Meri!”
Others simply took to the comments section to compliment Meri on the photo. “What a pretty picture!” one wrote. “And do you know what? It looks like you’re sitting inside I Dream of Jeannie’s bottle on her couch!” Several other people made that comparison too, with one person writing, “You’re in the bottle, I Dream of Jeannie.” Meri actually responded to that reply as well and said, “Haha lots of people are saying that, I didn’t even think it till you all [mentioned] it! Should have had my hair in a ponytail LOL!” See? Meri’s not just there for the clapbacks, but she is pretty good at them when she needs to be.
