She’s finally free. Just three months after she was fired, Megyn Kelly has reportedly reached a settlement for her NBC contract, according to Radar Online. Megyn was dismissed from the network in October after she defended the use of blackface as a Halloween costume on her now-defunct talk show Megyn Kelly Today. But now, she reached a final deal and can move on from NBC.

Megyn, 48, will be awarded a payout as part of her settlement deal, according to Radar. Her payout will be close to the full payment amount that she signed on for her three-year contract in 2017, which was set at a reported $69 million.

NBC confirmed the settlement agreement in a statement to CNN. “The parties have resolved their differences, and Megyn Kelly is no longer an employee of NBC,” the statement read.

Megyn’s NBC show was canceled after she defended the use of blackface, which is a dated form of makeup used by white actors to portray black characters, often in a stereotypical way. Blackface has long been considered racist, and Megyn argued that the use of blackface would be okay during Halloween. Shortly after the episode aired, she issued an apology.

“I realize now that such behavior is indeed wrong, and I am sorry. The history of blackface in our culture is abhorrent; the wounds too deep. I’ve never been a [politically correct] kind of person — but I understand that we do need to be more sensitive in this day and age. Particularly on race and ethnicity issues which, far from being healed, have been exacerbated in our politics over the past year,” Megyn in a statement.

In the months since her firing, Megyn has been spotted out and about and she’s teased her possible return to TV soon and insiders told Radar that she can bring a fresh perspective as a news anchor. “Megyn can add life to cable news by bringing a more productive discussion,” the insider said. “She’s a seasoned lawyer and doesn’t align herself with either Democrats or Republicans.”
