He’s the king of the clapback. Matt Roloff blasted a fan in the comments of a recent Instagram post he made when they claimed that it’s “sad that you pushed your [ex-wife] out of the farm” and that they weren’t sure they could “ever respect that in you.” Matt, 57, snapped back, “That’s the biggest crock of BS I’ve ever heard. I would love Amy to buy her side of the farm and let me move to Arizona full time. She’s scared to death of the work and attention it would take.” (Yikes, that’s a little harsh, Matt.)

On the season finale of Little People, Big World, Matt’s ex-wife, Amy Roloff, accepted a buyout on the family farm. “This process has not been easy for me,” the 54-year-old reality star explained on the show, before adding, “I will be glad when it’s completely done and we part ways.”

But Matt later explained on Instagram that “I have chosen to buy (and Amy has chosen to sell) me only one side of the farm at this time. Not the original farmstead … not the side with the pumpkin patch or her house … for now she is only selling me her partial share of ownership in the side (DW) that I live on. She will remain in her house (and on the farm) and 1/2 owner of our original farm until she decides to leave … At that time we will jointly work to sell the side she lives on together.”

That response was a lot more calm, cool and collected than the reply he left to that later fan comment. It sounds like Matt is not exactly thrilled to still be in limbo when it comes to the farm, and maybe like he wants to be in Arizona with his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler, a lot more than he can be now with all his responsibilities on the land.

Matt posts about his travels with Caryn often, and shared on July 11 that they were headed back to the more southern state that they call home part of the time. “Caryn and I are off again to escape some of this July Rain in Portland,” he wrote at the time. “Off to see some more sunshine in Surprise, Arizona.” Do you think he’d completely give up the farm if he had the chance? Is Matt even more annoyed with Amy taking her time making decisions about the farm then he seemed on the most recent season of Little People, Big World? If he keeps being chatty on Instagram, maybe we’ll find out.
