BFF means best friends forever, but in this case it seems like Matt Damon could be leaving his bestie, Ben Affleck, behind. The Martian actor is reportedly trying to hang out with people who don’t bring unnecessary drama to his life, and that may mean Ben’s gotta go.

An insider told Radar, “After being dragged down by his close association with Ben and Casey Affleck and Harvey Weinstein, Matt is making a real effort to fix his good name.” Matt has recently been seen with Chris Hemsworth, who has quite a good reputation for being a family man and a devoted husband. Chris and Matt have gone on vacation together a couple of times, including a trip to Australia this past April with their families.

The Thor: Ragnarok star enjoys spending time with Matt. He told GQ in 2014, “We became friends around the time I started to work, and I’ve really benefited from watching how he handles himself. Matt’s just a normal guy who has the movie-star thing figured out.” We definitely love this bromance!

Why the sudden friend switch up, Matt? The insider continued, “He’s going through a little restlessness in middle age and fixing his image was the kind of challenge he needed right now. He’s acquiring some stable, ‘normal’ friends he can share the journey with.”

While Matt seemingly has it all figured out — a beautiful wife, four kids, and a great career — Ben cannot quite say the same. While the Batman v. Superman actor loves his kids, he still can’t seem to overcome his addiction issues. Ben entered rehab over the summer and has since made his divorce official with ex-wife, Jennifer Garner. A source told E! News, “Ben was doing well for the last few months and very committed to his sobriety. He periodically drank from time to time but struggled as of late.”

Welp, sounds like we won’t be seeing a Good Will Hunting sequel any time soon!
