Get well soon. Former 90210 star Luke Perry was hospitalized on February 27 after suffering a “massive” stroke and his loved ones rushed to be by his side, a source tells In Touch exclusively. As of now, the actor, 52, reportedly remains under observation.

“Family members scrambled to the hospital and are by his side,” the insider revealed to In Touch in an update. “He was fortunate that he wasn’t alone at his home and help arrived quickly.”

The L.A. Fire Department previously confirmed that the “LAFD responded to a 911 call at 9:30 a.m.” at Luke’s Sherman Oaks home. Even though they weren’t able to reveal the person’s identity, they did say he was being “transported in an ambulance to a nearby hospital.”

According to our insiders, Luke was “rushed to the hospital in enough time to provide life-saving intervention” and he’s being watched closely by doctors. The source explained, “They are monitoring his vital signs. It’s too early to know if he will make a full recovery.” Luke’s health scare came as a surprise to most, because he was apparently “doing very well health-wise” before this.

Luke, who stars on CW series Riverdale, rose to fame on 90210 and sadly, his medical crisis occurred on the same day that the Beverly Hills, 90210 reboot was announced by Fox. Luke and Shannen Doherty have not officially signed on for the new project yet, however she did take to social media with a heartwarming message dedicated to Luke after hearing the news.

“My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this,” Shannen sweetly wrote. 90210 alum Ian Ziering also shared a throwback black and white photo featuring Luke captioned, “No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news. Let us say a prayer for his speedy recovery.” The actor is clearly cherished by all those close to him, as his Riverdale costar, Molly Ringwald even tweeted, “Sending my love to Luke Perry.”
