Way to Go! Jackson Roloff, 2, Masters Opening a Door and Dad Zach Is Impressed
So smart! Jackson Roloff looked proud of himself after opening a door … with a little help. The Little People, Big World star, 2, utilized a stool to reach the doorknob and TBH, we’re impressed. Turns out, his dad, Zach Roloff, was as well. “That smile you give when you’re a dwarf and figure how to open the door,” the 29-year-old gushed. Watch the video above to see all the cuteness for yourself — including when baby J says, “Hello!”
In October 2018, Zach’s wife, Tori, told followers when they learned their son — who was born in May 2017 — would be a little person. “We actually found out when I was 34 weeks pregnant, but my doctor had a little more of a heads up than some parents,” she said at the time.
The reality TV babe has never been shy about her concerns before. At one point during her pregnancy, she called it “scary” and admitted it was hard to think of your child as being “different.” That said, she added that they would love “whatever pops out,” and they’ve most certainly kept good on her promise!
“You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two,” Zach previously explained. “But I knew, dwarf or not, I was going to parent my child with the mentality that not everyone gets a trophy. You have to earn it.”
Tori is currently pregnant with baby No. 2 (a girl!) but the couple decided not to find out if she has dwarfism. “So everyone keeps asking after seeing the ultrasound of baby girl if she is a little person or average height, and the answer is we don’t know, and we won’t know until she’s born,” the TLC star wrote in an Instagram Story in July. “[You] can find out through an amniotic draw if you’re having a dwarf or not, but Zach and I opted out of that just because we don’t care either way. We also just don’t have a lot of risk involved with it. … We love her and we can’t wait to meet her.”
