At least he tried! Tori Roloff captured video of her son, Jackson Roloff, crashing and burning while playing with a hula hoop, and it’s seriously the cutest thing ever. Watch the video above to see it happen and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

Jackson seems to be at an indoor soccer field in the video, and his dad, Zach Roloff, is right by his side. The Little People, Big World star starts to help his son push a hula hoop around on the ground in the clip, and at first, it seems like Jackson has it under control. But as you see in the photos, he hasn’t totally mastered the skill of hula hoop wrangling just yet!

Jackson is well on his way to being a soccer star, even if being a hula hoop champ isn’t in his future. In fact, on Nov. 28, he had his first soccer class. Zach wrote on Instagram at the time, “Jackson had his first soccer class today! Thanks Coach Todd @indoorgoals.” So he’s off to a good start!

Plus, Jackson’s dad recently competed in the COPA American Talla Baja, “AKA dwarf Wold Cup of soccer,” as Tori wrote on Instagram, and his team placed fourth out of nine. That’s pretty awesome! And when Zach returned from a trip to Brazil to participate in the competition, Jackson was anxiously awaiting his dad’s arrival at the airport with a sign that said “Welcome home, DaDa.” How cute is that?

But Jackson is still pretty young yet and has a long way to go before he’s off competing in international competitions like dear ‘ol dad. For now, he can stick to practicing a little closer to home with his proud family members cheering him on. And if that involves more hilarious hula hoop fails that are caught on video, well…we certainly don’t mind! You’ll get it eventually, Jackson.
