Taken too soon. Sister to One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, Félicité, was found unresponsive back in March at her London home. Months later, the cause of death of the 18-year-old was revealed on Wednesday, September 11.

Inner West London Coroner’s Court confirmed that traces of Xanax and OxyContin were found in the brunette beauty’s system. Friend Zainab Mohammed admitted that the two purchased cocaine the night before her death and proceeded to ingest lines of the drug. Mohammed reported that Tomlinson was still breathing at 5 a.m., but by midday she “couldn’t hear breathing” from her friend’s room.

Coroner Shirley Radcliffe called the combination of drugs “the perfect storm.” He said she was “a bright, much-loved daughter and sister” whose “use of drugs was a considerable danger to her.” Adding, “She was an individual who took drugs deliberately and has succumbed to their … effects accidentally.”

Known as Fizzy by her friends, Tomlinson was an aspiring fashion designer and social media influencer. She had a history of recreational drug use, though reports say it became more routine after her mother passed away in 2016.

Tomlinson attended a rehab facility in fall of 2018 but relapsed in 2019. Her general practitioner stated she “refused to give up drugs in the knowledge they could kill her.”

In Touch confirmed that the 27-year-old’s sister tragically passed away on March 13. She was reportedly found dead after suffering a heart attack. There was “extensive” effort to save her life, but she was pronounced dead on the scene. Sources say that Tomlinson and his sister were “very close.” An insider told In Touch that Tomlinson was “inconsolable” at the time of her passing.

After receiving an outpouring of support from fans, the musician took to Twitter to thank them for their well wishes. “Just wanted to thank everyone for their lovely words over the past couple of weeks,” he wrote. “Back in the studio today to vocal something I wrote a few months ago. Sending you all loads of love x.”

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Tomlinson family at this time.
