There’s no truth to this transphobic comment — and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump isn’t going to live down saying it. The 58-year-old restauranteur came under fire for an anti-trans remark she made about her costar Erika Janye on the May 21 episode of the hit Bravo series.

LVP insinuated that the 47-year-old singer was “hiding” her biological male parts during a lie detector test she took with her Vanderpump Dogs executive director John Sessa. “Just don’t ask me if Erika’s tucking or something like that because there are some things I can’t lie about,” she laughed about her castmate before the session.

RHOBH star Lisa Rinna took to Twitter immediately following the scene to share her thoughts — and considering the two Lisas are very much at odds with one another this season, the 55-year-old didn’t play nice. “Who knew [LVP] was transphobic? Well, we know NOW! #LBGTQ,” Rinna wrote on May 21.

As for Erika, she has yet to directly address the situation with a comment herself, but she did retweet former I Am Cait star and trans activist Candis Cayne‘s thoughts on the situation. Looks like she and the “XXPEN$IVE” singer have similar feelings on the joke.

“Oh come on @LisaVanderpump joking about @erikajayne ‘tucking,’” Erika retweeted Candis following the episode. “Ugly Trans jokes marginalizing our community are not acceptable. Being an ally doesn’t give you a free pass to make transphobic remarks. Do better.”

To be fair, there is something to be said for LVP and her connection to the trans community, since it lends to why folks are so outraged over her words. On her other Bravo series, Vanderpump Rules, the entrepreneur has a tight bond with SUR hostess Billie Lee, a trans woman. The employee has even gone as far as to call Lisa the “fairy godmother” in her transition story — so it makes sense to see fans upset at LVP’s actions as an ally.
