Lil Xan Questions GF’s Miscarriage: ‘I Want to Give Her the Benefit of the Doubt’
What really happened? Lil Xan’s girlfriend, Annie Smith, revealed on April 6 that she suffered a miscarriage, but now, fans think that maybe she was never pregnant in the first place — and it seems like Lil Xan, who also goes by Nicholas Diego Leanos, might agree. On Wednesday, April 24, the 22-year-old broke his silence about what he truly believes, and how he is doing all that he can to find out if his girlfriend, 21, was telling the truth.
“I hope, like, we’re supposed to be getting some documentation from Kaiser Permanente, a hospital, but I was like, I need the paperwork of the miscarriage that you had. This is another suspicious thing — I was like, ‘Go down to the hospital because it’s on our street and get the paperwork … saying you had a miscarriage,'” he confessed during an interview with No Jumper. “But she came back saying, ‘Oh I have to do this process and s–t.’ So … it really gets you thinking, you know what I mean? I want to give her the benefit of the doubt.”
It seems like The “Betrayed” artist is pretty much on the same page as the rest of the world, but more importantly, he wants everyone to know that he “did not fake a pregnancy.” “I saw two pregnancy tests with the line that said, ‘You’re pregnant,’ and I was like, ‘OK, so she’s definitely pregnant.’ But I didn’t watch her pee.” If only you could go back in time! When asked if he thinks that Annie faked it for him to stay with her, he responded “50/50.” However, he did admit that he was starting to “see a belly,” so … who knows!
The content creator took to Instagram on Saturday, April 6, to announce that she had suffered from a miscarriage just two months after the couple announced their pregnancy. “Today I feel a hurt I never knew existed. A pain that comes from my soul. To my beautiful angel, mommy loves you more than she ever knew possible. You have made me the happiest woman in the world knowing I had the chance to be your mommy,” she wrote in her caption. “Feeling you grow inside my body has been the most special gift I have been given, my prayers were answered with you. I wish more than anything that I could meet you, hold you and love you. Teach you all the beautiful things in life and show you the world. I wish you could’ve known how truly blessed you were to have a daddy like Diego. We love you, little angel. Always ♥️.”
The allegations of a fake pregnancy began when fans first slammed Annie for photoshopping her ultrasound pictures taken at the 9-week mark. Annie later squashed the rumor by stating that it was someone else who had uploaded the fake photos to the internet. “When I posted my YouTube video with my ultrasound pictures, a girl (I’m not going to comment on who) photoshopped them with another person’s name, year, birthday etc, and uploaded them to Google,” she told E! News at the time.
The California native and Annie first started dating in November 2018. Despite their relationship currently being “in limbo,” it seems as if the two are still pushing through the drama. On Wednesday, April 24, Annie shared a heartfelt statement about her relationship status to help clear the air. “All I can say is love is hard. True, passionate, unconditional, eternal love will never be easy. Ever. Love sucks and it is the most beautiful, magical feeling in this world. Judging people via the internet about who they fall in love with and what they choose to do in their relationship is so sad because you can NEVER understand another couple’s relationship.”
