Dog and Beth Chapman Reunite With Son Leland — and Fans Are Losing Their S–t
Reunited and it feels so good! Beth Chapman took to Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 25 to post a snap of her husband, Duane, and their estranged son, Leland. “These two make me laugh! #dog #dogandbeth #alabama,” she wrote in the caption. The Dog the Bounty Hunter stars haven’t posted a photo with their son since 2014, so you can imagine people’s reactions when they saw the two together.
“Leland looks just like his daddy,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Good to see you all together, hope it will stay this way!!” A third chimed in, “They are looking more and more alike.” Others simply tagged their friends with comments like, “Yasssss!” Within an hour, the post garnered more than 7,000 likes.
With Duane and Beth living in Hawaii full time — and Leland living in Alabama with his wife, Jamie P. Chapman — family reunions are few and far between. Leland left Hawaii for the mainland in 2015 and tied the knot the following year. Currently, he’s working as a bail agent.
Last year, Beth was diagnosed with Stage 2 throat cancer, and she had to act quickly in order to treat the disease. She underwent surgery to remove the T2 tumor from her throat, and even though she recovered well and is currently cancer-free, she took to Instagram to reveal that she’s still coming to terms with the scars that she’s left with after her cancer battle.
“Embracing the unembraceable #newbeginnings #newyear,” the 50-year-old wrote in the caption of a photo on Jan. 1 that showed off her scars. “Prior to my surgery, I had no lines, no wrinkles, a perfect neck if you will. It has been very hard to look at this in the mirror, it serves as a constant reminder of something I’d love to forget. However some life lessons you should never forget, only learn from them and learn to embrace them so today I reveal my worst battle scar and know that things will get better in #2018 #secondchances #DogandBeth #battlescars.” Stay strong, mama!
