Lamar Odom’s Ex Liza Morales Says Kourtney and Rob Kardashian Were the Best Babysitters to Her Kids
She knows who she’d call to watch the kids for date night! Lamar Odom’s ex Liza Morales told Us Weekly that Kourtney Kardashian and Rob Kardashian were the favorite babysitters for her kids out of the Keeping Up With the Kardashians camp. “I have to say that my kids would always talk about Rob. Rob, Rob, Rob. They love Rob, and Kourtney too,” she said. “Not saying that everybody else didn’t show up, but those two stood out. My kids definitely felt a lot of love from them.”
The Starter Wives star and the former NBA player met in high school in New York City and split in 2006. They share two children together: Destiny, 21, and son Lamar Jr., 17. They also had a son named Jayden, but he sadly passed away in 2006 at just 6 months old.
Liza, 40, also told Us she and her kids became close with the Kardashians around the time Lamar, 39, married Khloé Kardashian back in 2009. “Khloé always did her best to try to include us and Rob,” she said. “Khloé always wanted a family of her own, so I’m happy that she has a beautiful daughter now. She got what she wanted.”
The reality star noted that during one big trip to Las Vegas, “Kourtney actually looked for my kids to go and sent positive energy when you didn’t know if Lamar was going to make it or not. She actually was like, ‘Where are the kids?’ So that’s something that you don’t forget regardless of stuff that happened so many years ago.” Plus, Rob, 32, apparently got along very well with Liza’s younger brother.
“Rob was always good with my brother. They got along really well,” she revealed. “He just had really good energy, and it was just a really good relationship to have at that time when so many things were going on and it was so confusing.”
Khloé and Lamar first got together in 2009, but their relationship was plagued with his infidelity and drug addiction. Khloé first filed for divorce in December 2013, but after Lamar’s near-fatal overdose in October 2015, she withdrew the papers. Finally, she filed for divorce a second time in May 2016. But hey — maybe Liza could still call up her fam for some free babysitting if she was really in a bind! You know … if her kids were still young enough to need babysitters.
