Lamar Odom checked into rehab in December 2016 as a precautionary measure, as the birthday of his late son, Jayden, was approaching and he was struggling to deal with the finalization of his divorce from Khloé Kardashian — who is now dating NBA star Tristan Thompson.
A new report claims the 37-year-old left treatment after "successfully completing the program" over the course of 35 days.
TMZ stated that Lamar will now return home to LA.
Lamar, who was married to the 32-year-old reality star for four years, shared in a preview for an upcoming episode of The Doctors what happened the night of his nearly-fatal drug overdose in October 2015.
“I wasn’t in a good place mentally, especially mentally, before the incident happened,” he explained . “My wife at the time, we were going through some things. I was in a dark place. So, I guess they say everything happens for a reason. So, I guess the reason is I’m here and I can tell the story.”
“I couldn’t talk,” he added. “Nothing would come out when I would open my mouth. So I was scared.”
We're glad to hear he got the help he needed, even though he allegedly checked in as a precautionary measure.
“He wants to stay clear and focused," a source told People at the time. "He’s trying to take care of himself. He really wants to be better. His friends and family encouraged him to go in and he agreed and made the decision.”
Meanwhile, his ex is happy as can be with her hot new 25-year-old man. She hasn't been shy about showing her love for Tristan on social media, and recently sparked engagement speculation after sharing this photo on her Snapchat story — where she is clearly wearing a diamond ring.
However, not everyone is happy about her current relationship status.
“Khloé is the one putting all the effort into the relationship, and her friends fear Tristan will end up hurting her,” a source revealed to Life & Style.
