A new friendship just formed between Kim Kardashian and Alice Marie Johnson! Kim made her way to Memphis, TN, to meet Alice — the woman whom 37-year-old reality star convinced President Donald Trump to pardon. Reporters waited outside of what is presumed to be Alice's home, as Kim walked up to the door to greet her. The duo embraced in front of a full camera crew, and went inside.

This is the first-ever meeting between Kim and Alice, but they might already feel like old friends. Kim was given the honor of calling Alice and telling her the good news. "I was like, 'You're going home,'" the mom of three told CNN. "We cried, maybe, on the phone for, like, three minutes straight. Everyone was just crying."

And Alice will be forever grateful. She appeared on Good Morning America after being granted clemency, and recalled the phone conversation with Kim, too. "When Kim told me that I was being released, I started jumping, screaming, crying, and everyone else was crying," Alice explained. "It was wonderful. I'm so glad that she was the one who was able to deliver the news to me. It was a perfect ending."

Kim touched down in Washington, DC, on May 30, after learning and advocating for Alice's case months beforehand. She had been in contact with Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and Ivanka's husband, Jared Kushner, in order to set up a meeting with the president to talk about Alice's situation and her opinion on prison reform. And it was just days after Kim and President Trump sat down for a one-on-one chat in the oval office, that he decided to free Alice.

"Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior, and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades," the White House said in a statement announcing her release. "Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates."

Alice was convicted in 1996 of conspiracy to possess cocaine, and attempted possession of cocaine. The 63-year-old had served 21 years of her life sentence for this first-time nonviolent drug offense.

Now that the pair have officially met, can we expect a Kim Kardashian and Alice Marie Johnson selfie in the near future? It's probably a pretty safe bet.
