No new friends! After Kim Kardashian called Taylor Swift a “snake” in 2016, things have been heated between the former friends. Now, the KUWTK star has no interest in making nice with the pop star. After the 29-year-old and Katy Perry made up, “there were feelers put out to see if Kim and Kanye West would be open to making amends,” a source exclusively told In Touch.

However, the 38-year-old makeup mogul said she didn’t want to rekindle their friendship. “She feels like she has nothing to gain from it,” the insider added. “She is super protective over Kanye’s image and cares more about defending him in this argument than he does.”

In 2016, the brunette beauty slammed the “Delicate” crooner after Kim’s hubby, Kanye, featured controversial lyrics about Tay in his hit single “Famous.”

In the song, he raps the lyrics, “For all my Southside n—gas that know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might have sex / Why, I made that bitch famous / Goddamn / I made that bitch famous.”

Despite claims that Taylor approved the tune beforehand, her rep said, “Kanye did not call for approval but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account.”

Then, at the 2016 Grammy Awards, the Pennsylvania native alluded to her feud with the “Gold Digger” rapper, 42, in her acceptance speech. “I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” she said. Afterward, Kim tweeted, “Wait, it’s legit National Snake Day?!?!? They have holidays for everybody, I mean, everything these days!”

But it seems like the Grammy winner never got over Kim’s harsh comments. “A mass public shaming, with millions of people saying you are quote-unquote canceled is a very isolating experience,” she recalled to Vogue in an interview published on Thursday, August 8 about how she felt after she was publicly called out. “I don’t think that there are that many people who can actually understand what it’s like millions of people hate you very loudly.”

Tay continued to detail how she was feeling during that time period. “When you say someone is canceled, it’s not a TV show,” she explained. “It’s a human being. You’re sending mass amounts of messaging to this person to either shut up, disappear or it could be also be perceived as, ‘kill yourself.’”

It seems like the pop princess came out on top since she released her successful album Reputation in 2017 and released her frustrations by writing hit songs. “I realized I needed to restructure my life because it felt completely out of control,” she said. “I knew immediately I needed to make music about it because I knew it was the only way I could survive it. It was the only way I could preserve my mental health and also tell the story of what it’s like to go through something so humiliating.”

Well, it’s safe to say Kim and Taylor are never ever getting back together … like, ever.
