Tristan Thompson Congratulates Kendall Jenner’s Ex Ben Simmons on His $170 Million NBA Deal Over FaceTime

Basketball bros and Kardashian exes! Tristan Thompson congratulated Kendall Jenner’s ex Ben Simmons on his lucrative NBA deal over FaceTime on Monday, July 15. According to The Athletic, the 22-year-old basketball player “has agreed to a five-year, $170 million maximum contract extension” with the Philadelphia 76ers — the same team he has been with since 2016.

The dad of two, 28, and Ben both shared the same screenshot of their FaceTime conversation. “Congrats broski @bensimmons,” Tristan wrote on his Instagram Stories.

It’s no surprise that Tristan and Ben are close since they are in the same profession. On Friday, July 12, the Australia native hung out with Khloé Kardashian’s baby daddy on the basketball court. “Another great day with my brother @realtristan13,” Ben captioned a series of photos of the athletes working out together. The Canada native also shared the same picture, writing, “Another great day of work with my bro @bensimmons.”

Even though both men are no longer dating Kardashian woman, it seems like drama always follows. Ben’s sister, Liv Simmons, seemingly shaded Kendall, 23, on Twitter. “I just wouldn’t ever wanna be known for dating athletes. Like imagine working your way through a league. Not a team a LEAGUE!” she wrote on July 10.

Ben and the supermodel started seeing each other in May of 2018 but called it quits a year later. “It wasn’t working out. They were long distance too much of the time, and it just fizzled,” a source exclusively told In Touch in May.

Meanwhile, Tristan and Koko, 35, split after she learned that Tristan allegedly hooked up with Jordyn Woods, 21, in February. Since then, the former flames are trying to get along for their daughter, True. “She has moved past all of her drama with him,” a source told Us Weekly. “They are still coparenting, and she doesn’t have any ill will towards Tristan. Khloé is so happy with True, it’s like nothing else matters.”
