Dunzo! Kendall Jenner and Ben Simmons have split up, In Touch has learned. Even though the former flames were super private, it seems like the relationship ran its course. “It wasn’t working out. They were long distance too much of time, and it just fizzled,” a source exclusively revealed.
It’s surprising that the duo went their separate ways since the 23-year-old just gushed about her romance with the athlete in an interview with Vogue Australia for their June 2019 issue. The model even went into further detail about her plans for marriage. “Maybe. Definitely not now, but maybe one day,” she said. “I got a glimpse of how my sisters dealt with [the attention], and it’s cool to learn from that.”
Unlike her other sisters who flaunt their relationships in public or on social media, the KUWTK starlet wanted to keep her beau out of the spotlight. “For me, a lot of things are very special and very sacred, like my friends and relationships, and I personally think that bringing things into the public makes everything so much messier,” she confessed. “I’m very young and right now I feel like relationships aren’t always super certain, and I don’t want to bring too much attention to something if you don’t really know long term [what it’s going to be].”
She continued, “A relationship is only meant to be between two people, and the second you make it the world’s business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally. Like once everyone is let in, you’re letting all these opinions into your relationships, and I don’t think that’s fair.”
Kenny confirmed she was dating the 22-year-old during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February. “So obviously you’re dating this guy who’s on the 76ers. How long have you been dating him?” Ellen DeGeneres asked. Kendall replied, “For a bit now.”
The two started seeing each other in March of 2018. Prior to the breakup, Kendall was spotted at the basketball player’s games and went on a couple of dates in Philadelphia.
“Everyone has their own path and their own way of letting the cards fall,” Kendall concluded. “Your 20s are for messing up and figuring it out.” Preach, girl!
