She’s officially no longer a teen mom! Over the weekend, Duggar bride Kendra Caldwell celebrated her 20th birthday with husband Joseph Duggar and his family. Though the couple is relatively private — by which we mean that neither of them has an Instagram that we know of, although of course there’s the fact that they both star on one of TLC‘s most popular reality TV shows and let cameras film not only their wedding but also a birth special about their son Garrett Duggar — Kendra’s husband’s family posted a sweet message for her on Facebook. 

“Happy Birthday Kendra!!” in-laws Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on the family’s Facebook page. “We are so thankful to have you in our family! You are a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and sister! We pray for God’s blessings in this next year and we hope you have a great birthday!!” Though we didn’t see a message from Joe himself, we have to assume the new parents have their hands more than full taking care of baby Garrett, who they introduced on the family blog back in June. And he’s shared his love for her before in a blog post called “Our Story” they published. 

“There was something special about this girl,” Joe wrote. “From the time of our very first long and in-depth conversation, I could see that we had a lot of common goals and interests… The more we talked the more we could see that this was the direction the Lord was leading us. We had truly become each other’s best friends! It’s amazing how similar our families were, but even on a personal level, we were very similar. As time went on, we realized that each of us had been praying for someone with the very qualities that we both saw in each other, without knowing who the one was that the Lord might have for us to marry.”

How cute is that? The couple tied the knot in September of last year, and had a baby almost exactly nine months later, so there’s no denying that 19 was a big year for Kendra. Here’s hoping that 20 is just as wonderful — although hopefully a little less hectic.
