Setting the record straight! Kate Beckinsale sparked dating rumors with Jamie Foxx after the actors were spotted seemingly getting “cozy” together at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe Ambassadors party on Thursday, November 14. But Kate took to Instagram on Friday, November 15, to address the speculation.

“[Last] night at #hfpa party with @therealadewale @iamjamiefoxx and @jsauluck. I would like to point out that standing next to someone does not mean I am dating them. Currently in line at the dry cleaners and if that’s true I’ve got a hell of a problem,” the 46-year-old joked on Instagram.

Fans were quick to speculate that the Underworld actress and the Just Mercy actor were an item after photos from the event surfaced. In one particular picture, Jamie, 51, posed with Kate standing very close to one another as he placed his hand on Kate’s lower back. The pair did seem quite cozy together, and it didn’t help that A-listers are both recently single.

As In Touch previously reported, Jamie split from his longtime girlfriend, Katie Holmes, in August after six years of dating. The couple had been fighting over Jamie’s partying ways, and Katie, 40, was fed up, a source claimed. “For months he’s been promising to calm his wild ways, but nothing’s changed, and she’s finally come to the conclusion that she wants to be with a guy who’s more mature and ready to settle down,” an insider exclusively told In Touch at the time.

Meanwhile, Kate split from her boyfriend, Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson, in April 2019 after four months of dating. Kate and Pete, 26, made headlines with their 20-year age gap and it was Pete’s first high-profile relationship after his failed engagement to pop star Ariana Grande. Kate and Pete’s relationship moved pretty quickly though, and an insider exclusively revealed to In Touch that was part of the reason for their split.

“They rushed into the relationship and fell head over heels without thinking about the logistics,” the insider claimed. “It’s one of those whirlwind romances that moved too quickly.”
