Still feuding? Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, recently hosted the highly anticipated Shawn Carter Foundation gala at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, and Kanye West was noticeably missing from the star-studded shindig. A source tells In Touch exclusively the “Famous” rapper was “the butt of a few jokes” because he skipped the soirée.

“Kanye was one of the only major players in hip-hop who wasn’t at the event,” the insider exclusively tells In Touch. “Diddy was not there, but it was the one year anniversary of Kim Porter’s death and he was with his family.”

“Clearly his relationship with Jay is over,” the source continued. “Anyone who means anything to him was there. This shows Kanye is shunned.”

Several celebrities showed up to the 49-year-old mogul’s fundraiser which was for a good cause. Attendees were able to take part in a silent auction as well as blackjack tournaments while also enjoying an incredible performance from Alicia Keys.

“All of the proceeds from the fundraising weekend will go towards benefiting the Shawn Carter Foundation’s scholarship fund, college prep workshops, goodwill programming and study abroad opportunities,” according to Billboard.

Because of his absence, “Kanye was definitely the butt of a few jokes. The same weekend he was appearing in Joel Osteen’s church making a sermon about being the greatest artist of all time,” the insider further explained, noting how Jay-Z was raising millions of dollars for his scholarship fund.

In November 2016, Kanye, 42, famously vented his frustrations about Jay-Z and Beyoncé, 38, at a concert. The chart-topping artist said that he wanted Jay to call him, before accusing Beyoncé of refusing to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards unless her “Formation” video took home the prize for Video of the Year.

Afterwards, Jay-Z clapped back on the “Rap Radar” podcast. “What really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it. Like, Kanye is my little brother,” he said. “We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem.”

Kanye last gave an update about the status of their friendship during an October 2019 interview, revealing how they’ve gone from friends to frenemies over the years. At the end, the rapper implied that he will always have love and respect for Jay-Z.
