Joy-Anna Duggar is under fire, this time for her recent comment on anorexia. The Counting On star took to Instagram on Monday, Jan. 14, to share several videos about her weight loss journey and wrote “awesome!” in the comments when a fan opened up about her struggle with an eating disorder. Watch the video above to see how it all went down and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

“Excited to share about this! It’s been SOOO helpful for me. My health coach has lost 47lbs in 15 weeks and her husband has lost 40lbs in just 9 weeks!!” the 21-year-old captioned the clips. “If you’re ready to start or just have questions please email me your phone number and we’d love to talk with you!”

Dozens of comments came pouring in from eager fans hoping to get more information, but it was that one comment, in particular, that was cause for concern. Someone who noticed the conversation chimed in, “I don’t think you’re qualified to determine whether this is a safe weight loss plan from someone who has been anorexic.” Others, meanwhile, called her response “tone deaf.”

Prior to this announcement, several people took notice of Joy’s post-baby body. While shopping with her son, Gideon, and her cousin, Amy Duggar, one person said, “So cute!! You’ve lost weight and look fantastic!” while another asked, “Looks like you are losing a lot of weight, what are you doing?” Welp, now we know. We just hope she’s not leading people astray with her advice.
