The Duggars Don’t Like Joy-Anna’s “Rebel” Husband (REPORT)
Looks like there’s trouble in paradise for Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth! Though the two just announced that they are expecting their first child, not all the Duggars are celebrating, as a new report claims that many members of the famous family dislike the father-to-be.
According to Radar, Joy’s husband was a rebellious youngster — despite his life-long friendship with the Duggars — and his bad boy side has the family worried about Joy. “There has been a lot of talk about the character of her new husband Austin,” a source close to the newlyweds explains. “He was more a rebel child.”
The source adds that (ironically enough) it was Anna Duggar — wife of disgraced Duggar son Josh, who not only confessed to cheating on his wife but also molesting four of his underage sisters — who has taken the biggest issue with Austin. According to the source, she was especially “disappointed with [Austin’s] character.”
Since announcing their pregnancy, many have speculated that the reason they had a surprise, shot gun wedding was because she got pregnant before exchanging vows — which would be incredibly scandalous, considering the Duggars ban any kind of physical contact before marriage. Shockingly, the source says that it’s within the realm of possibility.
“The pregnancy was very fast,” the source explains. “I don’t see it being far-fetched when you have such strict rules before marriage. I couldn’t give you a definite answer.”
In the past, Austin and Joy have been candid about how they tried their hardest to follow all the Duggars’ many, many rules before getting married — which include no physical contact, no unsupervised texting, and chaperones on all dates — but sometimes, they slipped. After all, they’re only human!
“We’re humans and sometimes we don’t always abide perfectly by our rules,” he confessed on an episode of Counting On. “We try. That was a real hard try.”
