The reality stars tied the knot on Friday in an Arkansas-based ceremony after three months of engagement — and they are already talking about their plans to expand their new family.
“We love kids and we’re excited to have a family. We’re just going to see what the Lord does. We want as many as the Lord thinks we can handle and we are putting it into his hands,” the newlyweds told People.
In Touch reported over the weekend that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar confirmed the nuptials on their blog.
"What an absolutely wonderful day our family will always treasure. As parents, we could not be more grateful for the godly woman Joy has become, and the loving husband she married! We love you, Joy and Austin and are so happy for you both, as you embark on this exciting journey together!" they wrote.
Her sisters have also provided well wishes and advice for her to take into married life.
“When you don’t understand why she’s crying, that’s okay. Just rub her back or something,” Jill Duggar said to Austin in a video.
Jessa chimed in with, “I think the honeymoon’s going to be really, really special. Getting to spend that time together. I know it’s going to be exciting getting to travel together, make memories together, take lots of pictures and document your travels and your journeys. This is the beginning of your lives together.”
Their wedding night took an exciting turn when Joseph Duggar proposed to Kendra Caldwell after announcing their courtship in March.
“We are so excited to be engaged and look forward to a lifetime together. We are so grateful for how the Lord brought us together, and we look forward to this special time of engagement and to some day serving Christ as man and wife,” Joseph and Kendra said in a statement.
