They couldn’t care less! Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth faced backlash from fans for attending a rodeo on Nov. 4, with fans accusing them of promoting animal abuse. Unfortunately for the fans (and the animals) the Counting On couple doesn’t give a hoot, and they have plenty of bible verses to justify their actions. Watch the video below to see their reponse.

In the caption of the photos, Austin revealed that he “grew up going to Texas rodeos” and was excited to bring his wife Joy-Anna to one for the first time. So why are fans so mad when bull-riding is so common in Texas? Well, the animals aren’t killed like they are in Spanish bullfights, but Peta says rodeos still cause harm to the animals. “Cattle and horses may be zapped with electric “hot shots” so that they’ll charge out of the chute,” they explain. Also “to make bulls stronger and more aggressive, they may be injected with anabolic steroids.” Not to mention that “when they become too old or worn out to continue, “retirement” is often a one-way trip to the slaughterhouse.”

Taking some time off work to attend a Bible Conference. So refreshing to be here and hear the Word of God preached! When we attended last year we weren't in a relationship… it's amazing to see where the Lord has brought us in just one year. #ilovemywife

This is far from the first time the couple has been involved in controversy. For example, the duo promoted Austin’s parents’ controversial “family camp” Fort Rock, which segregates men and women. then, of course, there was that baby bump photo Joy-Anna posted along with an “abortion kills children” message. Like we know the Duggars are anti-abortion, but what about their fans who have no other options? The couple is notorious for double down and never shying away from their aggressive moral stances, so we didn’t really expect them to apologize for going to the rodeo, and it doesn’t look like they plan to stop any time soon!
