If there's one thing the Duggars are good at — it's stirring up controversy! The reality star family is no stranger to Internet backlash, and most recently, people have been going off on Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband, Austin Forsyth. The duo — who recently announced they were expecting baby No. 1 — posted a photo of a controversial "family" camp, Fort Rock, on their joint Instagram page. Watch the video below to learn more about it.
Earlier this month, a report surfaced that Joy's parents — as well as her 18 siblings — aren't exactly thrilled with Austin. According to Radar, her hubby was once a rebellious youngster — despite his life-long friendship with the Duggars — and his bad-boy side has the family concerned. "There has been a lot of talk about the character of her new husband Austin," a source close to the couple explained. "He was more a rebel child."
A separate report from Radar revealed that the father-to-be’s family has many skeletons in their closet — including former arrests and even a divorce. Gasp! According to the report, Austin’s father, Terry, was married to a woman named Julia — with whom he had two kids — before marrying Austin’s mom. After finalizing their divorce, the mother got primary custody of the couple’s two children — Brandon and Rachael — and he was forced to pay $250 a month in child support. If you recall, divorce is frowned upon in the Duggar household. The site also revealed that Brandon was arrested in 2010 for making bomb threats.
Now that the couple is expecting a little one, though, we're sure her parents are at least happy she's clearly not using birth control — a practice that's against their religion. So at least she's got that going for her!
