Jon Gosselin Wishes His ‘Best Friend’ Girlfriend Colleen Conrad a Happy Birthday: ‘Love You to Death’
Celebrate good times, come on! Former Jon and Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin wished his longtime girlfriend, Colleen Conrad, a happy birthday in a heartfelt Instagram post on Wednesday, June 17.
“Happy Birthday to my best friend, lover and companion!!!” the former TLC reality star, 43, wrote on a series of photos. “I couldn’t have made it this far without you. I appreciate everything you have done for me and my kids!!! Love you to death!!!”
It looks like the pair celebrated Colleen’s special day with a late-night trip to the beach. In another photo, the mental health nurse practitioner posed by the ocean as she got her feet wet by the shoreline. Although the picture was a little blurry, you can tell the beauty was smiling big for her man.
Jon isn’t the only Gosselin enthralled by Colleen. Son Collin Gosselin “thinks the world” of his dad’s better half, an insider close to the family exclusively told In Touch. The 16-year-old “really does consider her an unofficial stepmom,” following his strained relationship with his mother, Kate Gosselin.
In 2015, the Kate Plus 8 star, 45, sent the teen to a facility for children with special needs, where he stayed for three years until he was released by his dad. Jon has since denied Collin “on any spectrum or [has] special needs.”
In December 2018, Jon was awarded custody of Collin. He then went to live with his father, Colleen and his sister Hannah, whom Jon won custody of in September of that year. Since the change in their custody agreement, the former DJ revealed there has been “no contact” between Collin and Kate.
Despite his tumultuous relationship with his birth mother, “Collin trusts Colleen,” the source added. “He gets advice from her, and he looks up to her. … He loves her and he loves her kids, too, Jesse and Jordan.”
Luckily, the feelings are mutual and Colleen views Jon’s kids as her own. “She loves her life and she cares about Collin,” the insider shared. “She’ll support and care for him and Hannah as long as they’re in her life.”
