L.A. looks good on Jinger Duggar … and her diet! The Counting On star took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, August 7, to share photos of her meal prep. She admitted, however, that it’s not always easy to be disciplined.
“There are two types of people: 1.) Those who prep all their fruits and veggies as soon as they get home from the store,” and “2.) Those who put it off as long as they possibly can!” the 25-year-old laughed. She added, “I used to put it off until I really needed it for a quick snack or meal … then I found myself, once again, putting it off for lack of time.”
These days, however, the now-blonde beauty is more disciplined. “Having quick, healthy snacks on hand has really helped us stay on track with our clean eating goals,” she continued. “No more procrastinating!” You go, girl.
Growing up in a family with 18 other siblings, her parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, often bought cans in bulk. During a pantry tour on 19 Kids and Counting, Jinger’s sister Jessa said, “These are the vegetables, we have canned fruit,” she explained as she pointed out their stockpile of ingredients. “We start off cooking at a very young age,” she continued. “My mom always has us in the kitchen as little boys and girls just helping her out, and then as we get older we actually take on the responsibility of doing whole meals ourselves.” In other words, the family’s been buying all canned goods since the kids were little because it was what they could afford.
