Guess Jeremy Vuolo‘s rules are a little more relaxed than Jim Bob Duggar‘s! Though the Duggar kids grew up not really being allowed to watch mainstream TV or movies, Jinger Duggar has recently gotten into a super popular Netflix series. Recently, the Counting On star had a friend visit her and her family in Laredo, and it sounds like they got up to a little bit of binge-watching during their weekend together. What’s more surprising, though, is what they decided to watch.

Jinger’s friend Addie Foto was the one to spill the beans. She posted a couple of pictures from their visit on her Instagram page, including one of her, Jinger, and Felicity, one of Jeremy and his wife (with Jinger sitting in a tree for some reason?), and one of her holding the three-month-old baby. She captioned the album, “I’m so grateful for the weekend with these friends…so thankful for every moment from deep discussions to being mesmerized over @thecrownnetflix together!”

Yep, 24-year-old reality star and her pal have been watching The Crown — and we have to say, we’re a little scandalized! Plenty of people love the show, but it’s not exactly PG-rated. It features sex scenes, cursing, affairs, divorce, all kinds of plot lines that are, yes, historical, but also not super fundie-friendly. Most importantly, it’s also pretty feminist in showing Queen Elizabeth in charge of her own life and future, and her husband, Prince Phillip, secondary to her reign. That’s a pretty controversial notion for the Duggars, who believe that men should be the leaders of their families and women should be their helpmeets.

So does Jinger watching the Netflix show mean that her marriage to Jeremy is a little less traditional than we thought? Or does it just mean that she’s allowed to watch the show with his permission and is maybe a bit of a history buff? All we know is that we’re rooting for the “rebel” Duggar daughter to continue her rebellion. And Jinger, if you need recommendations for other good shows, we’ve got plenty!
